Vortex Freight Systems is seeking a Carrier Procurement / Capacity Specialist for Mexico. You will source and secure northbound capacity, onboard carriers, and manage cross-border operations between MX and the USA.

Build a reliable carrier portfolio and monitor performance to ensure timely pickups. The role requires 3+ years in capacity or carrier procurement, strong English, and proficiency with Excel and a TMS or load-tracking system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in capacity, carrier sales, or ground transportation.
• Active portfolio of Mexican carriers.
• Experience negotiating rates and capacity.
• Knowledge of MX-USA cross-border operations.
• Knowledge of equipment types and required certifications.
• Advanced English.
• Proficiency in Excel and a TMS or load tracking system.
• Availability to oversee operations until tasks are resolved.
• Strong orientation toward measurable results.

Responsabilités

• Source and secure capacity in Mexico for northbound MX-USA cross-border pickups.
• Prospect, negotiate rates, and onboard new carriers with complete documentation.
• Maintain and grow your own portfolio of reliable carriers (cross-border, drayage, door-to-door).
• Track each carrier until pickup is fulfilled and resolve rejections, delays, or equipment shortages in real-time.
• Build and maintain a carrier scorecard to guide allocation decisions.
• Coordinate with Operations and Routing Specialist to track loads.
• Report available capacity, risks, and weekly results to the Northbound Operations Manager.
