Job summary

OP Mobility in Monterrey, MX is seeking a Regional Supply Chain External Flows Professional - Planning Transport to manage end-to-end transportation planning across road, sea and air for MX/NA. You will coordinate with plants, suppliers and carriers, optimize loads, and ensure timely shipments.

We value a strong background in cross-border logistics, TMS tools, and continuous improvement mindset. Fluency in Spanish and English is required; shift availability includes weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation or equivalent professional experience welcomed.
• Certification in logistics, freight forwarding (FIATA), HAZMAT/ DGR welcomed.
• 3-5 years' experience in Automotive Control Towers with hands-on transport operations.
• Experience in international & domestic road, sea and air cargo operations including transport order management, planning, booking and execution.
• Knowledge of MX, US/CA cross-border customs operations and Carta Porte-related regulations.
• Understanding of TMS and load planning tools; experience working with transport service providers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transport needs daily based on orders and delivery windows and plan shipments accordingly using TMS data.
• Coordinate shipments with warehouses, carriers and shipping instructions.
• Monitor delivery status and take action to mitigate disruptions with involved parties.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (customs, security programs) in MX/NA region.
• Improve on-time delivery, cost efficiency and transport utilization; contribute to dashboard metrics.

REGIONAL SUPPLY CHAIN EXTERNAL FLOWS PROFESSIONAL - PLANNING TRANSPORT

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation or equivalent professional experience welcomed
• Certification in logistics, freight forwarding (FIATA), HAZMAT/ DGR welcomed
• 3-5 years' experience in Automotive Control Towers (shipper and /or 4PL) with successful track record of hands-on physical transport operations
• International & Domestic (Road, Sea and Air) Inbound and Outbound Cargo Operational experience with following functionalities: transport order management, operational planning & booking, execution management
• Good understanding of MX, US/CA cross-border customs operations
• Mexico and US transport market knowledge: laws and regulations (such as Carta Porte etc) and security programs (C-TPAT & OEA,)
• Awareness of customs regulations and processes
• Deep understanding of different planning techniques including the functionality of TMS and load planning tools,
• Deep understanding of carriers operating model and knowledge how to work with transport service providers,
• Advanced desktop computer skills including MS Excel and Outlook,
• Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal customers and transport service providers.

Missions

• Delivery against performance ambitions & KPI for transport operations
• Manage with excellence regional transport short term planning & execution activities for road freight, domestic & international, sea freight and air freight
• Contribute to the TCC successful implementation
• Ensures high level of service to stakeholders (including carriers, plants, material suppliers) and cost/cash-effective movement of goods
• Ensures high level of transport equipment utilization, minimized number of km run
• Improvement in on-time delivery, cost, cash/stock, CO2 and all other Performance indicators of the 360 degrees-performance dashboard
• Ensure shipment documentation completeness and accuracy

Activities

• Daily analyzes transport needs based on transport orders and customer delivery windows, service levels and other planning parameters (inventory) and plans shipments on time accurately based on TMS data (Excel forbidden),
• Resolving the inconsistency of Transport Orders with plants, suppliers supporting the freight audit specialists
• Consolidate loads to improve efficiency and reduce empty runs,
• Plans and optimizes multi-leg, multi segments shipments,
• Coordinates shipment with warehouse, carriers and customer/ supplier shipping instructions,
• Monitors delivery status and proactively tracks potential disruptions,
• Adjust plans dynamically in case of exceptions and urgent shipments.
• Deliver real-time highest level of visibility to stakeholders. Proactively notifications all parties on delivery status or incidents and takes immediate actions to mitigate the consequences in cooperation with involved parties
• Keeps the TMS system up to date with all relevant information
• Controls hours of service, road weight and size restrictions, HAZMAT rules if applicable and plans orders accordingly to ensure on-time delivery
