Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Middle/Senior Network & Wireless Engineer for a full-time role in Mexico. You will support, troubleshoot, and improve a global enterprise network, focusing on Cisco networking and wireless technologies, including routing, switching, security, and cloud connectivity.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot complex network issues, implement changes safely, and collaborate with international stakeholders to maintain reliable enterprise services.

Formación

  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise network operations and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, Wireless LAN Controllers, and APs.
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, and Check Point firewalls; Cisco ISE and Zscaler.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, switching, routing, and network monitoring.
  • Understanding RF fundamentals, 802.11 standards, roaming, CAPWAP, interference mitigation, coverage, capacity.
  • Experience managing production incidents, service requests, changes, escalations, and SLAs.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and log analysis tools (SolarWinds, NetBrain, Splunk, Cisco ISE, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and support enterprise network projects (LAN, WAN, routing, switching, wireless, security).
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco WLCs and APs, including onboarding, firmware upgrades, roaming, RF, capacity issues.
  • Support approved production changes and ITIL processes; handle incidents and changes.
  • Diagnose complex connectivity issues using packet captures and monitoring tools.
  • Provide operational support for switches, routers, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
  • Maintain design docs, diagrams, procedures, and operational reports.
  • Collaborate with global teams and serve as a liaison with security, cloud, and service desk teams.
  • Contribute to automation and service improvements to enhance network operations.

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle/Senior Network & Wireless Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company specializing in the discovery, development, and commercialization of prescription medicines. Operating in more than 100 countries, the company focuses on innovation across multiple therapeutic areas and works closely with leading academic and biotechnology research institutions worldwide. Its headquarters are located in Cambridge, United Kingdom.

You will support the operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a global enterprise network within a pharmaceutical organization. The role focuses primarily on Cisco networking and wireless technologies, with additional responsibilities covering routing, switching, network security, load balancing, cloud connectivity, monitoring, and IT service management.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, customer-focused network professional who can independently troubleshoot complex network and wireless issues, implement production changes safely, collaborate effectively with global teams, and contribute to the reliability and continuous improvement of enterprise network services.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise network operations and troubleshooting.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, Wireless LAN Controllers, and Access Points.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, and Check Point firewalls, as well as Cisco ISE and Zscaler.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, switching, routing, and network monitoring.
  • Understanding of RF fundamentals, 802.11 standards, roaming, wireless authentication, CAPWAP, interference mitigation, coverage, and capacity.
  • Experience managing production incidents, service requests, changes, escalations, and SLA-based activities.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, troubleshooting, and log analysis tools such as SolarWinds, NetBrain, Splunk, Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ISE, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Will be a plus
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst series switches, Cisco VSS technology, Nexus switches, and Ruckus switches.
  • Experience with policy-based routing, Intelligent WAN (iWAN), Cisco SD-WAN, and Cisco ISR/ASR routers, with knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
  • Experience with wireless site surveys, RF analysis, capacity planning, and tools such as Ekahau.
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point, Zscaler, VPNs, NAC, 802.1X, and Zero Trust technologies.
  • Experience with Citrix NetScaler or equivalent technologies.
  • Knowledge of Python, Perl, Tcl, Ansible, network automation, and orchestration.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams and international stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Remedy, Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and support enterprise network projects involving LAN, WAN, routing, switching, wireless, network security, firewall, proxy, and load-balancing services.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Points, including Cisco AireOS and Catalyst 9800 platforms. Support AP onboarding, firmware upgrades, wireless changes, authentication, roaming, RF, coverage, capacity, and interference-related issues.
  • Implement approved production changes, support emergency break-fix activities, and work within ITIL processes.
  • Diagnose complex connectivity and performance issues using packet captures, monitoring platforms, log analysis, and network troubleshooting tools.
  • Support Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, ISR and ASR SD-WAN routers, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
  • Provide operational support for firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, and Check Point), proxy services, VPN, NAC, 802.1X, Zero Trust, and load-balancing technologies.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, network diagrams, operating procedures, knowledge articles, implementation plans, and operational reports.
  • Work with LAN/WAN, security, cloud, service desk, onsite, and global infrastructure teams to maintain reliable network services.
  • Contribute to automation, Lean initiatives, service improvements, and network operational efficiency.
