Job summary

AlertMedia, Inc. is seeking an HR Operations & Payroll Specialist to join our growing People team in Mexico City. You will manage payroll, benefits, HR systems, time and attendance, compliance, and vendor coordination to deliver accurate, scalable processes.

You will report to the Regional HR Manager and collaborate with Global HR Operations, Finance, Legal, and external providers to ensure a great employee experience and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, payroll administration, People Operations, or a related HR role in Mexico.
• Hands-on experience supporting Mexican payroll and pre-payroll processes, ideally with an external payroll provider.
• Knowledge of Mexican payroll and social security requirements (IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, SUA/SIPARE, PTU, aguinaldo, vacation premium).
• Experience administering HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, and/or benefits systems; Rippling is a plus.
• Experience coordinating employee benefits with payroll/HR vendors is preferred.
• Strong English and Spanish communication; ability to collaborate across Mexico and the U.S.
• Accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end payroll cycle, including collecting, validating, and reporting payroll incidents and coordinating corrections with the payroll provider.
• Coordinate recurring Mexico payroll and social security requirements (IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, SUA/SIPARE, PTU, aguinaldo, vacation premium).
• Administer Mexico HRIS and employee records (PTO, absences, schedules, time/attendance) and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Manage day-to-day benefits administration (Medical, dental, vision, meal vouchers) and vendor onboarding.
• Serve as the primary operations contact for Mexico HR vendors (payroll, benefits, meal vouchers) and track deliverables.
• Provide first-line HR Operations support to Mexico employees and help document and improve People processes.
• Support Mexico employee experience initiatives and culture programs as part of the Regional HR Team.
