Telepatia is seeking a physician fluent in clinical workflows to join as a Clinical AI Scientist. You will bridge medical practice and technology, working with product, engineering, and deployment teams to build AI healthcare solutions that doctors trust and rely on.

You will translate real-world clinical problems into AI models, validate with Latin American data, and serve as the clinical voice in feature development while running field pilots with hospitals and clinics to ensure medical

About The Role

You are a physician fluent in clinical workflows who is passionate about transforming patient care through AI. As a Clinical AI Scientist, you will bridge the gap between medical practice and technology, collaborating with product, engineering, and deployment teams to create intelligent healthcare solutions that doctors love and trust.

You will:

• Translate real-world clinical problems into actionable AI models that improve physician decision‑making and workflow.
• Partner with engineers to validate and fine-tune models using real clinical data from across Latin America.
• Serve as the clinical voice in the development of new features and tools.
• Run field pilots with doctors in hospitals and clinics, gathering direct feedback to refine AI products and ensure medical accuracy.
• Work closely with the Medicine team to adapt protocols, note templates, and recommendations to Mexican health regulation (GPC, NOMs) and local practice.
• Participate in training, onboarding, and support for early adopters.
• Communicate key clinical insights to product, engineering, and commercial teams.

What we look for

• Medical degree (MD) with clinical experience in Mexican healthcare settings.
• Deep understanding of physician workflows, preferably across multiple specialties.
• Interest or experience in AI, data science, medical informatics, or digital health strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to earn trust with frontline doctors as well as engineers.
• Analytical skills: ability to interpret clinical data and impact metrics.
• Grit, ownership, and adaptability in fast-moving, often ambiguous environments.
• Spanish native, English fluent (able to work with technical documentation and international teams).

Nice to have

• Research or QA experience in clinical data sets, medical AI, EMRs, or digital health products.
• Familiarity with Mexican health data privacy and regulation (NOM-004, NOM-024, LFPDPPP).
• Experience running clinical pilots, clinical trials, or launching medical technology.
