Job summary

Openbank Mexico is seeking a Head of Banking to define and lead the banking strategy for Openbank Mexico, building a scalable and commercially sound proposition aligned with growth, customer needs and regulatory requirements, with end-to-end accountability for performance, P&L and customer value.

You will own the strategic view of banking performance, lead cross-functional teams across Product, Risk, Operations, Finance and Data, and shape journeys and pricing across current accounts, deposits

Qualifications

• Significant senior experience in retail banking, digital banking, deposits, payments, fintech or financial services.
• Proven track record defining or scaling banking strategies, deposit propositions, payments or digital banking products in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience owning or managing P&L and business performance within banking, payments, deposits or digital financial services.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end banking strategy for Openbank Mexico, including product scope and growth roadmap.
• Own the banking P&L, balancing customer growth, pricing, funding, and profitability.
• Lead end-to-end management of the banking business, including retention and customer value.
• Shape the operating model with governance across Stakeholders, Finance, Risk and Technology.
• Drive product and commercial strategy for current accounts, deposits, and payments.
• Collaborate with Product, Data and Technology to design digital journeys and lifecycle strategies.
• Present business cases and roadmap priorities to senior management.
