Community Health Centers of the Central Coast (CHCCC) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the Health Center Manager and Clinic Services Supervisor. The MA performs non‑professional clinical duties, operates medical and laboratory equipment, and assists with patient care and clerical tasks to maintain efficient clinic operations.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; CMA/RMA certification; ability to pass test within one year of hire.
• Minimum one year of recent medical assisting work experience preferred.
• Experience with EHR; knowledge of lab tests and patient care processes is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Administers medications per Provider’s orders and consults with RN if needed.
• Performs vital signs and determines need for immunizations or screenings.
• Conducts in-house CLIA waived tests and ensures quality controls.
• Greets patients, escorts to exam rooms, and maintains patient flow and safety.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
