Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) is seeking a Materials Manager at its Aldama plant to lead material planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance. You will partner with Operations, Sourcing, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Sales to translate demand into a robust supply plan while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in materials management in manufacturing, leadership experience, and fluency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• Five+ years of progressive experience in materials management, planning, logistics, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Three+ years of direct people-leadership experience.
• Experience with MRP, inventory control, master scheduling, warehousing, supplier delivery management, and customer fulfillment.
• Strong ERP and data-analysis capability; proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
• Lean manufacturing, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and quality-management systems knowledge.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; able to communicate with plant, BU, customer, and supplier stakeholders.
• On-site work at Aldama Operation; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials planning and production control at the plant level, converting demand into achievable plans.
• Own MRP parameters, calendars, lead times, safety stocks, and production schedules.
• Ensure visibility into constraints and manage schedule changes and obsolescence risks.
• Coordinate engineering changes, launches, transfers, and end-of-life transitions.
• Own inventory accuracy, turns, days on hand, and cycle counting; reconcile variances with Finance.
• Monitor supplier performance; direct inbound/outbound logistics and warehousing activities.
• Establish standard work, KPIs, and visual management for the materials organization.
• Support audits and ensure policy compliance; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
