Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking a Materials Manager in Saltillo, Mexico, to ensure material availability and efficient supply chain execution for production.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to anticipate risks and drive corrective actions to prevent production disruptions. You will lead cross-functional teams across Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service, managing planning, inventory, and supplier performance to meet OEM

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and automotive industry experience.
• Experience with high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and OEM requirements.
• Strong knowledge of MRP systems, ERP, and supplier coordination.
• Hands-on leadership with urgency and accountability.

Mansioni

• Oversee material planning, MRP execution, production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier commitments.
• Manage changing customer schedules, releases, and delivery requirements with OEM expectations.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service to resolve shortages and constraints.
• Identify and prevent supply risks; develop preventive, contingency, and recovery plans.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, excess/obsolete materials, and costs while balancing working capital.
• Track KPIs: on-time delivery, backlog reduction, inventory accuracy, and interruptions from shortages.
• Lead and develop materials planning and supply chain personnel with clear priorities.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Provide updates on critical supply chain issues and escalate with recovery timelines.
• Identify and implement planning process improvements to reduce costs.
