The successful candidate will be a hands‑on leader with a strong sense of urgency, excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to anticipate supply risks, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and drive timely corrective actions to prevent production disruptions and improve operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Materials Planning and Execution: Oversee material planning, MRP execution, production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier commitments to ensure material availability and uninterrupted production.

Customer Requirements: Manage changing customer schedules, releases, and delivery requirements while maintaining alignment with OEM expectations and production priorities.

Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Customer Service, and other cross‑functional teams to resolve material shortages, delivery issues, and supply chain constraints.

Risk Prevention and Recovery: Proactively identify risks related to material shortages, supplier delays, inventory discrepancies, and potential line stoppages. Develop and execute preventive, contingency, and recovery plans.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory accuracy, excess and obsolete materials, material coverage, and inventory costs while balancing operational requirements and working capital objectives.

Performance Management: Track and improve key performance indicators, including on‑time delivery, backlog reduction, inventory accuracy, material availability, premium freight, and production interruptions caused by material shortages.

Leadership and Accountability: Lead and develop materials planning and supply chain personnel, establish clear priorities, and promote collaboration, ownership, and accountability across the team.

Problem‑Solving and Corrective Actions: Lead root cause analysis, establish corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely follow‑up and closure of commitments.

Communication and Escalation: Provide accurate and transparent updates on critical supply chain issues, communicate risks to management, and escalation issues promptly with clear action plans and recovery timelines.
