Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Reynosa to plan, design, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes for the second shift. You will ensure proper implementation, drive continuous improvement, and support new product introductions with tooling and processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering, 4+ years in automotive or aerospace manufacturing, and conversational English. PLC and AutoCAD experience are preferred; ERP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing engineering within automotive or aerospace.
• Conversational English required.
• Experience in automation processes and PLC programming (preferred).
• Solid experience with AutoCAD or CAM software (preferred).
• Green Belt certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP (preferred).
• Willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of process equipment, tooling, and special tools for production.
• Verify preventive maintenance inclusion and measurement standards for equipment.
• Maintain tooling inventories and documentation for equipment and fixtures.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in processes and tooling.
• Develop and implement error-proofing systems (poka-yoke).
• Standardize work procedures and apply manufacturing best practices.
• Participate in cell teams to achieve High Five metrics.
• Support training to develop technicians and operators.
• Lead 8D-based customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Manage MCOs/ECOs and BOM updates.
• Support new product introductions by developing tooling and processes.
• Participate in capital investment projects.
