Job summary

Bison is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Reynosa to lead the engineering team and drive safe, lean, cost-effective manufacturing processes across production lines.

The role partners with Operations to identify improvements, manage capital projects, and support new product introductions and process transfers, with emphasis on AI-enabled productivity and cost reduction. Strong leadership and bilingual fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline related to manufacturing.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum five years in a similar manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience leading or managing a technical team highly preferred.
• Proven Lean manufacturing experience and ability to apply it to processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Manufacturing Engineering team across maintenance, process, and test equipment.
• Define, implement, and sustain safe, lean, reliable, and cost-effective processes.
• Set resources and capabilities for the Manufacturing Engineering function.
• Develop plans to meet KPIs with Operations Director coordination.
• Monitor performance with regular status and KPI reporting.
• Drive Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Reduce downtime and improve flow using Lean methods including SMED.
• Manage capital projects and ROI analysis for investments.
• Ensure projects meet objectives and timelines.
• Oversee equipment assets, maintenance, and external services.
• Lead New Product Introduction and engineering change processes.
• Collaborate across Operations, Quality, Safety, and others on improvements.
• Identify and address safety concerns and ensure policy compliance.
• Support professional development and training for the engineering team.
