Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Chihuahua, Mexico to ensure products are built to design specifications and standards. You will drive lean manufacturing initiatives, develop and certify technicians, and optimize tooling and processes across production cells.

The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, advanced English, and at least five years of relevant experience. Travel flexibility (USA visa) is expected to support global operations.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree compatible with the assigned area.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the described manufacturing roles.
• Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel (USA visa).

Responsibilities

• Assure that products are manufactured according to spec from designs established by corporate offices in the USA by interpreting product drawings, norms, standards or codes.
• Promote modern manufacturing systems for competitive advantage.
• Develop technicians and certify operators across manufacturing areas.
• Lead lean manufacturing implementation (5S, layouts, POKA YOKE, BOMs and routings).
• Develop and improve calibration routines for equipment and tooling with support from maintenance/quality engineers.
• Coordinate time studies, capacity analysis and manufacturing cell design.
• Budget, evaluate, select and purchase new tools and equipment; coordinate validation and installation.
• Identify and correct complex failures and disposition nonconforming material.
