Kohler Co. in Juárez, Nuevo León, México, seeks an engineering professional to provide production support, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure efficient operations.

This on-site role collaborates with production teams to improve processes and reduce costs. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience with lean systems; bilingual skills and Windows proficiency are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience with lean systems preferred.
• Proficient with Windows-based software; bilingual skills preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide engineering support for daily production, quality control, problem solving, cost reduction and meeting schedules.
• Oversee production processes and suggest changes to improve efficiency.
• Support the maintenance department in troubleshooting the manufacturing process, tools and dies.
• Develop and maintain labor standards in complex operations.
• Assist in providing associates training as required and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Monitor and Keep track of the different Metrics of the Plant.
• Assist the implementation of the Kohler Operating System (KOS)
• Promote continuous improvements in safety, quality and cost in the Plant operations.
• Develop quality projects through Lean Manufacturing tools in order to get cost reduction and improve the results in the areas.
• Support the team work in order for them to give follow-up to the established methods, once the projects had been implemented.
• Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position).
• Comply with all the requirements by ISO 9001-2015 Management.

Opportunity

BASIC FUNCTION

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite – Juárez, Nuevo León, México

Under the supervision of the Genl Supvr-Casting & Molds, Plant III, this position is responsible for providing engineering support to production areas, identifying and improving areas of opportunity in production processes or products. As well as, developing and maintaining project-engineering programs consistent with sound engineering practices, KOS principals and company policies, so the facility will operate without interruption and will meet its production and cost objectives.

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide engineering assistance for daily production, quality control, problem solving, cost reduction and meeting delivery schedules.
• Oversee production processes and suggests changes in working methods or operation sequences in order to assure an adequate operation and improve efficiency.
• Support the maintenance department in maintaining and troubleshooting the manufacturing process, tools and dies.
• Develop and maintains control over labor standards in complex operations.
• Assist in providing associates training as required and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Monitor and Keeps track of the different Metrics of the Plant.
• Assist the implementation of the Kohler Operating System (KOS)

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Preference Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Preference minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing operation employing lean system.
• Preference working Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based software applications. Bilingual skills preferred.
