Kohler Co. in Juárez, Nuevo León, Mexico is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on casting and molds to support daily production, improve processes, and drive cost reductions.

You will develop and maintain lean programs, assist maintenance, and mentor engineers while upholding ISO 9001-2015 requirements and safety standards. This is an onsite role at the Juárez facility.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
• 1–2 years of manufacturing lean experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based software applications; bilingual skills preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide engineering assistance for daily production, quality control, problem solving, cost reduction and meeting delivery schedules.
• Oversee production processes and suggest changes to improve efficiency and operation sequencing.
• Support maintenance in troubleshooting and sustaining manufacturing processes, tools and dies.
• Develop and maintain labor standards in complex operations.
• Assist in training associates and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Monitor plant metrics and support the Kohler Operating System (KOS).
• Promote continuous improvements in safety, quality and cost.

Manufacturing Engineer - Casting & Molds

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite – Juárez, Nuevo León, México

BASICFUNCTION

Under the supervision of the Genl Supvr-Casting &Molds, Plant III, this position is responsible for providing engineering support to production areas, identifying and improving areas of opportunity in production processes or products. As well as, developing and maintaining project-engineering programs consistent with sound engineering practices, KOS principles and company policies, so the facility will operate without interruption and will meet its production and cost objectives.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide engineering assistance for daily production, quality control, problem solving, cost reduction and meeting delivery schedules.
• Oversee production processes and suggest changes in working methods or operation sequences in order to assure an adequate operation and improve efficiency.
• Support the maintenance department in maintaining and troubleshooting the manufacturing process, tools and dies.
• Develop and maintain control over labor standards in complex operations.
• Assist in providing associates training as required and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Monitor and keep track of the different metrics of the Plant.
• Assist the implementation of the Kohler Operating System (KOS)
• Promote continuous improvements in safety, quality and cost in the Plant operations.
• Develop quality projects through Lean Manufacturing tools in order to get cost reduction and improve the results in the areas.
• Support the teamwork in order for them to give follow-up to the established methods, once the projects had been implemented.
• Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.
• Comply with all the requirements by ISO 9001-2015 Management.

Skills / Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Preference Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience: Preference minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in a manufacturing operation employing lean system.
• Formation: Preference working knowledge of Microsoft Windows based software applications. Bilingual skills preferred.
