Emerson in El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to drive NPI activities, transfer processes to production, and develop plant layouts and SOPs. You will provide engineering support for machining, tooling, and fixtures while leading Lean initiatives to boost safety, quality, and productivity.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering with 5+ years in manufacturing roles, strong Lean, and ERP experience (Oracle/SAP).

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations, Quality, or Maintenance in manufacturing.
• English communication in technical and business environments.
• Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with CNC machining, tooling, and equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical docs.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP).
• Project management and structured problem-solving experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including process development and pilot runs.
• Coordinate manufacturing process and line transfers from planning to stabilization.
• Develop and maintain plant layouts, SOPs, and process docs.
• Provide technical support for machining operations, tooling, fixtures, and troubleshooting.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement focusing on safety, quality, productivity, waste reduction.
• Execute and support Capex projects to enhance capabilities and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, Quality, OEA, and C-TPAT requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

1. Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process development, tooling selection, manufacturing readiness assessments, and pilot production runs.
2. Coordinate manufacturing process and production line transfers from planning through implementation and stabilization.
3. Develop and maintain plant layouts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation.
4. Provide technical support for machining operations, tooling, fixtures, and process troubleshooting.
5. Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
6. Execute and support Capital Investment (Capex) projects to enhance manufacturing capabilities and operational efficiency.
7. Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, OEA, and C-TPAT requirements.
8. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to achieve business objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations, Quality, or Maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in both technical and business environments.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with CNC machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and technical documentation
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle or SAP.
• Project management and structured problem-solving experience.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Lean Manufacturing certification such as Green Belt.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
• Experience leading manufacturing transfer projects.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Power BI.
• Experience managing Capex projects in a manufacturing environment
