Job summary

Emerson Electric Co in El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering professional to lead NPI activities, coordinate transfer projects, and drive Lean initiatives across the plant.

You will develop plant layouts, SOPs, and process documentation, support machining operations, and ensure EHS and quality compliance while collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Five+ years in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Operations, Quality, or Maintenance in manufacturing.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in technical and business settings.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Experience with CNC machining processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T specs, and technical docs.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle or SAP.
• Project management and structured problem-solving experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including process development and pilot runs.
• Coordinate manufacturing process and production line transfers from planning to stabilization.
• Develop and maintain plant layouts, SOPs, and process documentation.
• Provide technical support for machining operations, tooling, fixtures, and troubleshooting.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement focusing on safety, quality, and waste reduction.
• Execute and support Capex projects to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, Quality, OEA, and C-TPAT requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to achieve goals.
