Emerson in Mexico is seeking a manufacturing engineer to drive robotic automation and continuous improvement across our plant. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to justify investments, define technical requirements, and lead Kaizen initiatives that improve throughput and efficiency.

You will monitor automated systems, ensure ISO compliance, and develop layouts to optimize the end-to-end supply chain while leveraging CAD tools to design fixtures and gauges.

Formación

• Bilingual in English at an advanced level.
• Engineering degree in Industrial/Administrative field.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and CAD tools.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Identify and execute robotic automation projects that deliver measurable improvements in throughput, labor efficiency, ergonomics, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, justify investments, and manage the implementation of robotic systems from concept through production release.


• Monitor and continuously improve automated manufacturing systems through data analysis, preventive actions, and process optimization initiatives to ensure sustained operational performance.


• Maintain, monitor, and ensure compliance with ISO requirements within manufacturing processes.


• Define optimal work processes for each product manufactured by Emerson through Operations Methods (OMs), including the evaluation of appropriate tooling, fixtures, and process parameters within ITIM as operator references.


• Prepare product cost analyses for existing and future products when required.


• Define the theoretical capacity of manufacturing processes and validate actual process capacity, documenting results in capacity and flexibility reports that are maintained up to date.


• Conduct capacity studies for new product models and validate cycle times to confirm hourly production rates and support Oracle system updates.


• Identify and propose cost reduction initiatives across operations.


• Develop, implement, and update plant layouts to optimize facility configuration and improve end-to-end supply chain flow efficiency.


• Actively participate in the resolution of quality, efficiency, and safety-related issues.


• Define and drive the implementation of best practices through Lean Manufacturing methodologies.


• Lead the development and documentation of Kaizen projects and follow up on corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity and velocity improvements.


• Develop, document, and present savings and cost avoidance projects for management approval.


• Lead setup time reduction initiatives through the application of SMED methodologies.


• Design solid models (STL files) using CAD software for fixtures, poka-yokes, and go/no-go gauges required for manufacturing processes through 3D printing technologies.


• Lead capacity improvement and material flow optimization projects through production line balancing.

• Industrial, Administrative, or related Engineering


• Computer programs Office Advanced


• Lean Manufacturing, blueprint interpretation (GD&T), design software proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and cobot system integration


• 5 years in a similar position
