Donaldson seeks a Quality Manager in Mexico to lead the plant’s quality strategy and operations, ensuring adherence to global standards and customer requirements. You will oversee the Integrated Management System, drive continuous improvement, and reduce costs related to poor quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and extensive experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, APQP/PPAP, and Six Sigma, along with strong leadership and budget oversight. on-site position.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • +4 years of experience in a similar quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • +8 years of experience with quality management systems, audits, customer complaints, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the Quality department’s strategy, priorities, and performance indicators.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure an effective response to complaints or quality deviations.
  • Lead root-cause analyses and corrective and preventive actions, validating their implementation and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the quality of incoming materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve the plant’s Integrated Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other applicable requirements.
  • Coordinate internal, external, certification, and customer audits, ensuring the timely closure of nonconformities.
  • Ensure compliance with quality requirements during new product launches, production line transfers, and equipment installations.
  • Lead APQP and PPAP processes, ensuring quality and on-time submission.
  • Implement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, containment activities, PPM, and the cost of poor quality.
  • Manage the department’s operating budget and support investment proposals for measurement equipment, laboratory resources, and process improvements.
  • Develop the capabilities of the Quality team and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, suppliers, and customers.

This role will oversee the Integrated Management System, strengthen the quality culture, drive continuous improvement, and reduce costs associated with poor quality.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field. +4 years of experience in a similar quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment. + 8 years of experience with quality management systems, audits, customer complaints, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. Proficiency in Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA. Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Shainin, or Six Sigma.

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of process and product audits, VDA 6.3, and CQI. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience managing OpEx and CapEx budgets. Knowledge of environmental requirements, hazardous waste management, and Integrated Management Systems.
