Hyatt Playa del Carmen seeks a Manager II, Learning and Development, to lead the design, delivery, and governance of training programs aligned with business goals in our hospitality portfolio. You will oversee staff development, manage the L&D budget, evaluate training outcomes, and partner with department heads and external vendors to close skills gaps and raise guest satisfaction.

Formación

  • Formal education in business, HR, or related field with professional certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development leadership and program design.
  • Experience coordinating budgets, vendors, and cross-functional training initiatives.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and implement L&D strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure programs are current, relevant, and industry-aligned.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and design training.
  • Manage L&D budget and external training vendors for quality and cost control.
  • Measure program effectiveness and adjust based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Oversee vendor selection and contract management for training materials.
  • Stay updated on trends and best practices in learning and development.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to support initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members to foster growth.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Description

As a Manager II, Learning and Development, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the training and development activities and staff of the organization. This role oversees the professional development of employees and ensures that our training programs are engaging, effective, and in line with company objectives.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement learning and development strategies in line with the organization's business objectives.
  • Ensure the learning and development programs are current, relevant, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify skill gaps and develop training programs to address these gaps.
  • Manage and oversee the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective training solutions.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through evaluation and feedback, making adjustments as necessary to improve program outcomes.
  • Oversee the selection and management of external training vendors, ensuring quality and consistency of training materials.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating new methods and technologies into the organization's training programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Education
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Certifications
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
  • Additional certifications may be required or preferred
