Job summary

Freudenberg Group in Mexico is seeking a skilled technician to maintain and repair complex equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, proactive safety practices, and collaboration with operations and engineering to minimize downtime.

You will coordinate with plant teams and external vendors to ensure installations meet standards while driving continuous improvements and reliable production performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience maintaining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
• Proficient in preventive maintenance practices and root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration with operations and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Peak Performance : Maintain equipment functionality to the highest standards, including preventive maintenance and managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, robotic equipment, and software programming.

• Install and Improve : Install, maintain, improve, and repair equipment, plant services, and building installations. Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

• Promote Safety : Adhere to safety protocols, local, site, and regional standards while troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Follow department procedures and standard work practices.

• Collaborate for Success : Work with operations and engineering teams to ensure equipment meets desired capabilities. Act as a liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers and third-party vendors for parts and services.

• Optimize Downtime : Coordinate with business unit managers and engineers to schedule downtime for planned projects, preventive maintenance, and unplanned repairs.

• Troubleshoot and Solve : Respond to breakdowns by identifying root causes, suggesting solutions, and providing options to management. Focus on minimizing downtime.

• Proactive Protection : Identify and elevate any activities that could cause harm or damage to production. Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience
• Specified Years of Industry-relevant professional experience
• Relevant certifications, system experience, and training
• Professional-Level English language skills preferred
