Job summary

Freudenberg Group in Mexico seeks a seasoned Maintenance Engineer to ensure peak performance of plant equipment and lead preventive maintenance projects. You will install, maintain, and repair diverse machinery, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safety and compliance.

Collaborate with operations and engineering to meet intended capabilities, minimize downtime, and troubleshoot root causes. English proficiency is preferred for global liaison.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Peak Performance: Maintain equipment functionality to the highest standards, including preventive maintenance and managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, robotic equipment, and software programming.
• Install and Improve: Install, maintain, improve, and repair equipment, plant services, and building installations. Oversee contractors and vendors for policy compliance.
• Promote Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and local standards while troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
• Collaborate for Success: Work with operations and engineering to ensure equipment meets desired capabilities; liaise with OEMs and vendors.
• Optimize Downtime: Schedule downtime for planned projects, preventive maintenance, and unplanned repairs.
• Troubleshoot and Solve: Identify root causes of breakdowns and propose solutions to minimize downtime.
• Proactive Protection: Escalate activities that could harm production and report faults to management.

Responsibilities:

- Promote Safety : Adhere to safety protocols, local, site, and regional standards while troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Follow department procedures and standard work practices.
- Collaborate for Success : Work with operations and engineering teams to ensure equipment meets desired capabilities. Act as a liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers and third-party vendors for parts and services.
- Optimize Downtime : Coordinate with business unit managers and engineers to schedule downtime for planned projects, preventive maintenance, and unplanned repairs.
- Troubleshoot and Solve : Respond to breakdowns by identifying root causes, suggesting solutions, and providing options to management. Focus on minimizing downtime.
- Proactive Protection : Identify and escalate any activities that could cause harm or damage to production. Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience
Specified Years of Industry-relevant professional experience
Relevant certifications, system experience, and training
Professional-Level English language skills preferred
