Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies de Mexico S.A. de C.V. in Cuautla, Morelos, Mexico, seeks a Maintenance Engineer to keep complex plant equipment running reliably. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, and coordinate with operations and vendors.

This role requires strong safety discipline, collaboration with engineering, and the ability to minimize downtime while improving equipment performance. A relevant degree and professional English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Industry-relevant professional experience is required.
• Relevant certifications, system experience, and training.
• Professional-level English language skills preferred.
• Clear and proactive communication with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment functionality to the highest standards, including preventive maintenance and managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, robotic equipment, and software programming.
• Install, maintain, improve, and repair equipment, plant services, and building installations. Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols, local, site, and regional standards while troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Follow department procedures and standard work practices.
• Work with operations and engineering teams to ensure equipment meets desired capabilities. Act as a liaison with OEMs and third-party vendors for parts and services.
• Coordinate downtime scheduling with business unit managers for planned projects, preventive maintenance, and unplanned repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns by identifying root causes, proposing solutions, and presenting options to management to minimize downtime.
• Identify and elevate any activities that could cause harm or damage to production; report root causes and equipment faults to management.

• Optimize Downtime: Coordinate with business unit managers and engineers to schedule downtime for planned projects, preventive maintenance, and unplanned repairs.
• Troubleshoot and Solve: Respond to breakdowns by identifying root causes, suggesting solutions, and providing options to management. Focus on minimizing downtime.
• Proactive Protection: Identify and elevate any activities that could cause harm or damage to production. Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience
• Specified Years of Industry-relevant professional experience
• Relevant certifications, system experience, and training
• Professional-Level English language skills preferred
