Job summary

The Standard in Mexico City is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations and uphold luxury standards across guestrooms and public areas. You will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper and hotel teams to ensure polished spaces and an outstanding guest experience.

Ideal candidates bring leadership experience in luxury or boutique hotels, a sharp eye for presentation, and strong communication skills in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Experience in a luxury lifestyle hotel or boutique environment.
• Strong knowledge of guestroom and public-area standards.
• Leadership and coaching abilities to guide a diverse team.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-moving environment.
• English and Spanish fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Housekeeper in daily housekeeping operations.
• Coordinate cleaning of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness and brand standards.
• Assist with staffing, schedules, and departmental coverage.
• Monitor room status and liaise with Front Office.
• Respond to guest requests with professionalism.
• Train and motivate housekeeping colleagues.
• Manage linen, uniforms, and consumables.
• Oversee inventory controls and cost-conscious practices.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Security, Front Office and others.
• Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Support vendor relationships and external service providers.
• Prepare reports and handovers.
• Step in for Executive Housekeeper when needed.
