Placements24 is seeking an experienced Gerente de Banquetes y Eventos for a luxury resort in Cancún, Quintana Roo. You will lead banquet and event operations, from inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in banquet and event management, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort setting.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a variety of events, from small gatherings to large conferences.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules in Cancún .
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is essential for effective client and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of banquet and event operations, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Develop proposals, menus, and floor plans tailored to client needs.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, culinary teams, and banqueting staff to ensure seamless execution.
• Supervise on-site event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Ensure all events adhere to the resort's quality standards and brand reputation.
• Train, motivate, and manage banquet staff to deliver outstanding service.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events promptly and professionally.
