About the Role

Our client, a premier hospitality group, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet & Events Manager to oversee all aspects of gastronomic events at their upscale venue in Mérida, Yucatán, MX . This role requires a strong background in event planning, catering management, and client relations, with a focus on delivering exceptional culinary experiences for a variety of functions, from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating with clients, culinary teams, and service staff to ensure flawless execution and exceed guest expectations. You will be instrumental in driving revenue and maintaining the venue's reputation for outstanding events.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of all banquet and event functions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, from initial inquiry through event completion.
• Develop customized menus and beverage packages tailored to client needs and preferences.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure menu quality, timely preparation, and beautiful presentation.
• Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of events, ensuring seamless transitions and adherence to timelines.
• Manage event budgets, including pricing, billing, and cost control.
• Lead and motivate the banquet and event staff, ensuring high standards of service.

Requirements

• Proficiency in menu planning, event budgeting, and contract negotiation.
