Citi seeks an Applications Development Senior Manager in Mexico City to lead one or more development teams and drive end-to-end application systems in coordination with Technology. You will oversee architecture, mentor staff, review technical solutions, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance across banking platforms.

Strong leadership, project management, and banking domain knowledge are essential.

Formación

• More than 10 years in technology or related areas (mandatory).
• More than 3 years in Banking industry, ideally, or 5 years in Consumer Mass Market or Retail.
• Knowledge: Engineer in Systems or related field. Must have served as Technical Lead or equivalent for at least 3 years with knowledge in the following aspects:
• Extensive experience designing solutions for Back Banking products and services, preferably purchasing systems.
• Experience in architecture assessment across multiple domains: apps, data, security, tech, infra.
• Knowledge in microservices and APIs on OpenShift.
• Solid knowledge of streaming platforms and distributed messaging like Apache Kafka and JMS (desirable).
• Experience designing/integrating hybrid architectures for banking sector.
• Knowledge in perimeter and application security: API Gateway, SSO, TLS, WAF, etc.
• Solid solution design balancing risk, efficiency and cost in Security Architecture.
• English language: advanced and technical.

• Provide technical oversight across systems and applications across domains.
• Review and analyse proposed technical solutions for projects.
• Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and related areas.
• Develop knowledge of how business areas integrate to achieve goals.
• Provide evaluative judgment based on data in complex situations.
• Monitor delivery, participate in budgeting, and allocate team resources.
• Define standards and negotiate with external parties when needed.
• Assess risk in business decisions and ensure regulatory and ethical compliance.
