CEVA Logistics, ubicado en Ciudad de México, busca un Gerente de Asesoría Legal con amplia experiencia para guiar la estrategia legal en un entorno logístico dinámico. Liderará la revisión de contratos, el gobierno corporativo y la gestión de riesgos, asegurando el cumplimiento normativo.

El candidato ideal posee al menos 8 años en derecho mercantil/corporativo, experiencia en litigios y fluidez en inglés. Se valorará capacidad de liderazgo y colaboración transfuncional.

Formación

• Experiencia en derecho mercantil y corporativo con al menos 8 años.
• Redacción, revisión y negociación de contratos comerciales.
• Gestión de litigios laborales y comerciales.
• Inglés fluido, tanto oral como escrito.

Responsabilidades

• Asesorar legalmente a stakeholders internos cumpliendo leyes y políticas.
• Revisar y negociar contratos con clientes, proveedores y socios.
• Gestión de gobierno corporativo: poderes, actas y mantenimiento de entidades.
• Identificar y gestionar riesgos legales; colaboración con asesoría externa.
• Apoyar iniciativas estratégicas con asesoría legal preventiva.
• Colaborar con equipos para integrar marcos legales en operaciones.
• Mantener conocimiento de cambios regulatorios relevantes para CEVA México.
• Diseñar y dirigir capacitaciones sobre cumplimiento y responsabilidad legal.

As the Legal Counsel Manager for CEVA Mexico, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the company's legal strategy within a dynamic, fast-evolving logistics environment. Situated in Mexico City, you will be at the heart of a global leader committed to operational excellence, ethical practices, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely, pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring all guidance supports CEVA Mexico's business objectives while fully complying with applicable laws and corporate policies.
• Review, negotiate, and approve comprehensive contracts involving clients, suppliers, and partners, balancing legal safeguards with commercial priorities to mitigate risks and support business growth.
• Ensure strict adherence to corporate governance best practices, which include managing powers of attorney, accurately documenting minutes of meetings, and overseeing corporate entity maintenance.
• Proactively identify and manage potential legal risks across the organisation, taking a hands-on role in labour and commercial litigation management, in collaboration with external legal counsel as necessary.
• Support strategic business initiatives by offering preventative legal counsel designed to minimise future exposure and foster sustainable development.
• Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to integrate legal frameworks into operational workflows and corporate strategies, bolstering compliance and informed decision-making.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant statutory and regulatory changes affecting CEVA Mexico's operations to anticipate and manage emerging legal challenges effectively.
• Lead and design training sessions to elevate employees' awareness of legal and compliance responsibilities, strengthening a culture centred on integrity, accountability, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A law degree from a recognised university is essential.
• At least eight years of progressively responsible experience specialising in commercial and corporate law, ideally within complex and fast-paced business environments.
• Demonstrated ability in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, coupled with a robust understanding of corporate governance frameworks and business advisory expertise.
• Proven track record managing labour and commercial litigation effectively, ensuring favourable outcomes aligned with organisational goals.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, essential for communication within an international business context.
• A strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills, adept at delivering practical, solution-focused legal guidance under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and build trusted relationships across diverse teams.
