Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Mexico is seeking a Lean Engineer to act as a change agent, driving continuous improvement, cost savings and cultural transformation within our manufacturing operations. You will lead a Lean Technician and promote Lean execution across the plant.

Responsibilities include creating a 3–5 year Lean roadmap, developing detailed project plans, and guiding Lean Six Sigma initiatives such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen and Standard Work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 2 years of experience as a Lean Engineer Jr.
• Fluent English.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods, systems, and production processes.
• Self-motivated with a history of delivering results through continuous improvement.
• Strong change agent with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Process focus with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a 3–5 year Lean roadmap and outline projects to support the plant's vision.
• Lead or monitor project development in your area of responsibility.
• Build comprehensive project plans and monitor their progress.
• Advise on the implementation of Lean Six Sigma techniques.
• Apply Value Stream Mapping, 7 Wastes identification, Kaizen, and Standard Work.
• Participate in audits (ISO, TL, 5's, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley) and lead site-wide projects.
