Job summary

Corning Incorporated seeks a Sr. Lean Engineer in Reynosa, Mexico, to lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and support functions.

You will apply Lean principles, perform DMAIC-based problem solving, and drive productivity, quality, and safety improvements in a world-class facility. You will partner with cross-functional teams, train staff in Lean methods, and deliver measurable business results while ensuring alignment with ISO and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in Lean/Continuous Improvement roles.
• Strong experience with Lean tools (VSM, Standard Work, Time Studies, OBC, Line Balancing).
• Knowledge of DMAIC, A3, 8D, 5 Whys.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, standard work, and process flow analysis.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, Gemba walks, 5S, and improvement projects.
• Apply DMAIC, A3, 8D, and 5 Whys to solve process and equipment issues.
• Drive cost-reduction projects and monitor savings and sustainability.
