Industrias SL, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specialized in soldering to design, implement and sustain processes and tools for wave or selective soldering. You will collaborate with Design, Test, and Reliability Engineering to launch new products and improve yield.

This role requires hands-on experience in electronics soldering manufacturing, familiarity with IPC standards, and a Six Sigma mindset. On-site in Mexicali, with travel to vendor locations as needed.

Formación

  • Experience in electronic manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Experience using IPC standards in a production environment.

Responsabilidades

  • Support Lean Manufacturing tools implementation (SMED, one piece flow, cells).
  • Continues quality improvements and elimination of non-value added activities.
  • Balance manufacturing lines and/or cells according to TAKT time.
  • Identify and develop projects using Six Sigma tools.
  • Document the manufacturing process.
  • Support new product introductions and prototypes.
  • Generate applicable reports and charts.
  • Provide training to colleagues.
  • Support PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.
  • Failure analysis for continuous improvement.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance for manufacturing equipment.

A Manufacturing Engineerspecialized in Solderingdevelops, implements and maintains methods, tools, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub assemblies and final assembliesused in the soldering process.They interface with Design, Test, and Reliability Engineering to create successful product launches and to solve problems.They sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvementsin machines used for soldering procedures, wave solder or selective solder.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support to and implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools (SMED, one piece flow, manufacturing cells,
  • Self-directed teams, kan-ban, 5's, etc.)
  • Continues quality improvements and elimination of non-value added activities.
  • Active participation in improvements of manufacturing metrics.
  • Manufacturing line and/or cells balancing according to TAKT time.
  • Identification and development of project utilizing Six Sigma tools.
  • Complete documentation of the manufacturing process.
  • Knowledge of products and company systems.
  • To request, generate, validate and/or implement ECR's and ECN's.
  • Support to new products introduction and/or prototypes.
  • To select, specify, recommend and/or design of tools and equipment.
  • Manufacturability issues identification (DFM).
  • To work with relate corporate personnel as necessary.
  • To generate applicable reports and charts.
  • Training to colleagues, technicians, facilitator, operators when required or necessary.
  • Support to generation of PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.
  • Failure analysis and/ or evaluation of defects for continuous improvement.
  • Planning and coordination of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance for manufacturing equipment
  • Generation, analysis and/or update of standard times.
  • Strong understanding of electronics soldering manufacturing procedures using wave solder or selective soldering machines.
  • Have worked, supported, or technically understand the operation and key parameters in wave solder or selective solder machines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Manufacturing Engineers regularly work in office, lab, and manufacturing facilities.Travel to international vendor, manufacturing, and/or development locations may be required.

SKILLS

Must have strong problem-solving attributes.Skilled at communicating with and influencing design teams, vendors, and customers.

EXPERIENCE
Essential
  • Experience in Electronic Industry.
  • Six Sigma Certification is a plus
  • Electronic Manufacturing and Components Fabrication.
  • Coating and encapsulation / potting automation.
  • Experience using IPC standards (e.g., IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑J‑STD‑001) in a production environment.
  • Experience in the soldering process, using wave solder or selective soldering machines.
  • Experiencie designing and improving designs in toolings and pallets used in soldering process.
  • Experience implementing DOE in soldering machines.
Desirable

Experience for more than 2 years working with soldering machines, wave/selective solder.

Greater than 5 years of relevant design/development team and/or manufacturing support.

Essential

Bachelors Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline

Electronic engineering

6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology
