Job summary

PocketFM is seeking a seasoned Head of Editorial to own end-to-end show development, from pre-editorial planning to post-release optimization. You will review localization approaches, ensure narrative quality, and guide AI-enabled workflows with Junior Writers under your leadership.

Lead promotional concepts, collaborate across production and business teams, and use audience insights to continually improve storytelling and user engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Literature, Creative Writing, Media, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in scriptwriting, localization, or storytelling for audio/video platforms.
• Strong leadership experience managing writers or creative teams.
• Deep understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and audience engagement.
• Experience with AI-based writing/adaptation tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and drive decisions.
• Excellent communication, feedback, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple shows end-to-end from pre-editorial planning to post-release optimization.
• Review and approve concept notes, localization approaches, and adaptation frameworks.
• Guide GenAI-driven editorial innovation for script adaptation and content optimization.
• Provide detailed feedback to refine scripts before production.
• Mentor and manage Junior Writers across shows; ensure quality.
• Collaborate with production, QC, and creative teams on output quality.
• Analyze user feedback and viewing patterns to refine storytelling.
• Communicate insights and risks to business, content, and production stakeholders.
• Lead promotional concepts and scripts aligned with audience appeal.
