Job summary

CVG Sprague Devices, LLC is seeking an Industrial Engineer/Production Planner to manage demand, production scheduling, and warranty/Aftermarket support. You will oversee service parts planning, inventory control, and fulfillment while ensuring compliance with the production plan and customer commitments.

You will collaborate with Planning, Shipping, Finance, and Program Management to balance capacity, materials, and staffing, and you will participate in Kaizen, 5S, and visual management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 years in a similar position.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Inventory management and control.
• Knowledge of JIT.
• Purchasing and customer service practices.
• Experience managing service parts/Aftermarket (long life cycles, low volumes, high SKU variety).
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding and thermoforming processes (cycles, tonnage, mold changes).
• Experience in production scheduling based on machine capacity (scheduling/sequencing).
• Capacity balancing.

Responsibilities

• Load customer demand from EDI, email, or PDFs into the system and monitor significant demand changes.
• Attend customer calls and provide shipment-related documents and information.
• Manage service parts/Aftermarket demand receipt, scheduling, inventory control, and fulfillment coordination.
• Escalate risks with information for decision-making and document penalties (increases, cancellations, delays).
• Ensure production scheduling covers raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products; confirm material availability with Planning.
• Monitor daily adherence to the production schedule and coordinate corrective actions for deviations.
• Manage manufacturing orders (creation, closure, cancellation) and coordinate with Finance, Program Manager, Shipping, and Planning.
• Verify production lines meet standards, targets, and monitor downtime indicators.
• Manage open orders, delivery times, and communicate shipment status; notify customers of delays.
• Maintain finished goods inventory, forecast parts usage, and ensure availability of machines, materials, and personnel.
• Participate in physical inventories, stock reconciliations, safety/quality/audit policies, and Kaizen/5S/training activities.
