The Standard, Mexico City is seeking a Design Manager to lead interior design across guestrooms, dining and public spaces, coordinating with our GM, senior team and the New York Corporate Design group to bring creative initiatives to life.

You’ll manage FF&E, scopes of work, procurement, timelines and installations in a fast-paced hotel environment, ensuring on-brief, on-time, on-budget delivery, with a strong emphasis on design integrity and cultural relevance.

Formación

• 3–5 years’ experience in interior design, architecture, construction, or hospitality project management is essential, ideally within the Mexico City market and within a design-led or lifestyle environment.
• Demonstrate a portfolio of completed projects showing creativity and technical competence.
• Solid knowledge of Mexican building regulations, compliance processes, and statutory approvals.
• Experience managing refurbishments or construction projects within operational hotels or high-volume hospitality environments.
• Be confident leading FF&E selection, procurement, and installation from concept through completion.
• Be commercially aware, with the ability to prepare costings, manage budgets, and deliver projects within agreed financial parameters.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and oversee hotel design projects across guestrooms, dining venues, and public spaces.
• Develop scopes of work, manage RFP processes, build project timelines, and coordinate supplier relationships.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and installations are delivered with minimal operational disruption.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Events, Marketing, and F&B teams to deliver distinctive finishes for launches and activations.
• Protect and evolve the design ethos across the property, maintaining high standards and cultural relevance.
