Gensler Mexico is seeking a Design Manager who can also serve as Project Architect to lead and coordinate teams across all project phases, from concept to construction drawings. The role requires strong leadership, bilingual English/Spanish, and proven experience on hospitality or large-scale projects.

You will guide technical design, ensure code compliance, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain client relationships while delivering high-quality architectural solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design or foreign equivalent.
• 8+ years of project experience in an architectural practice.
• 5+ years of hospitality or large-scale projects.
• 100% bilingual English/Spanish, superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in REVIT, SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures.
• Experience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy.
• Experience leading, managing, and mentoring multiple project teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and emotional intelligence.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all phases of projects from setup through construction drawings.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and coordination with clients, sub-contractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions for complex design challenges.
• Advise clients and team on building codes and zoning code requirements.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and coordinate bidding.
• Conduct site visits, process submittals, substitutions, and RFIs during construction.
• Track financial performance of projects and maintain quality control.
• Lead coordination for plans, elevations, sections, details, and material selections for construction.
• Lead consultants, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to achieve project objectives.
