Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to design and deliver production-grade web systems across frontend and backend services. You will lead cross-team technical direction, uphold quality standards, and help ship accessible, high-performance experiences.

The role requires 5+ years of full-stack experience, strong TS/React and JVM backend skills, and solid AWS/CI/CD proficiency. Excellent collaboration with product and engineering partners is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in full-stack web engineering shipping production systems.
• Strong TypeScript and React with state management and performance optimization.
• Backend experience with Kotlin/Java on JVM or TypeScript for shared libs.
• Hands-on gRPC, protobuf, HTTP/REST APIs.
• Proven cross-team ownership and design leadership; excellent communication.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) level.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design decisions across frontend and backend systems.
• Build and ship full-stack features using TypeScript and React with strong state management.
• Develop backend services and libraries using Kotlin/Java on the JVM or TypeScript.
• Design and integrate APIs using gRPC/protobuf and HTTP/REST patterns.
• Model and evolve data storage in DynamoDB and PostgreSQL to support product features.
• Ensure reliability and performance via caching, queues, and eventual consistency trade-offs.
