Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking an experienced design engineer to coordinate the end-to-end development of Wiegmann electrical enclosures. You will lead 3D CAD design using Inventor and AutoCAD, prepare full engineering drawings and BOMs, and ensure compliance with UL/CSA/IEC standards.

The role requires project management across multiple simultaneous projects, attention to regulatory requirements, and strong collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• AS Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (Mechanical preferred).
• 5–10 years minimum in Design NEMA Electrical Enclosures and/or sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong project management skills in handling multiple simultaneous projects.
• Skilled in 3D CAD software preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Bilingual Spanish and English required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design, development, and documentation of Wiegmann specials using Autodesk Inventor 3D and AutoCAD engineering software.
• Communicate with engineering personnel to ensure on-time completion of specials/MTO projects.
• Develop new products from concept to production using 3D CAD; produce engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Ensure designs comply with UL, CSA, IEC, and other standards; manage change requests and EC status.
