Essentra is seeking a detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the design and development of new products. You will create CAD models and drawings, collaborate with suppliers on product design, and support cross-functional teams including sales in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background, CAD experience (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), and strong communication skills in English. Join a global leader committed to quality and innovation.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Understanding of engineering drawings and fundamentals.
• Fluent English is required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings (PDF prints) for new and existing products.
• Ensure all designs meet technical, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to design and optimize new products and components.
• Review supplier drawings and provide feedback to ensure alignment with specifications.
• Support product development from concept through production.
• Participate in meetings and calls with the sales team to provide technical insight and support customer needs.
• Assist in resolving design, manufacturing, and quality issues.
• Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and project files.
• Work closely with internal teams (engineering, sales, sourcing) to ensure project timelines are met.

Job Description Summary:

This role will be responsible for creating CAD models and technical drawings, collaborating with suppliers on product design, and supporting cross-functional teams including sales. The ideal candidate is technically strong, communicative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Typical Accountabilities:

• Develop 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings (PDF prints) for new and existing products
• Ensure all designs meet technical, manufacturing, and quality requirements
• Collaborate with suppliers to design and optimize new products and components
• Review supplier drawings and provide feedback to ensure alignment with specifications
• Support product development from concept through production

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
• Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Understanding of engineering drawings and fundamentals
• Fluent English is required.
