Allstate's Integon unit seeks a Lead Business Intelligence Developer to design and support enterprise-scale data warehouses, modern cloud platforms, and BI environments. You will work with stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to turn data into actionable insights.

You will develop star and snowflake schemas, T-SQL, PySpark, and Power BI models, and mentor teammates while ensuring data quality and governance across production environments.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or BI.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server T-SQL, SSIS, data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Data Flows Gen2 Notebooks Lakehouses, and Power BI.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data integration tools.
• Develop Fabric data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes.
• Create Fabric workloads including pipelines, dataflows, notebooks, lakehouses, warehouses.
• Design star and snowflake schemas to support reporting and analytics.
• Develop T-SQL code including stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Build Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, and DAX measures.
• Develop Python and PySpark data processing solutions.
• Monitor data quality and implement governance practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in architecture and code reviews and in design discussions.
• Support deployments, monitoring, and production support.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Business Intelligence Developer to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale data warehouse solutions, modern cloud-based data platforms, and business intelligence environments.

This role requires expertise in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT development, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and modern data engineering practices. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and fellow engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Build, optimize, and support ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data integration tools and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes in Microsoft Fabric .
• Create and manage Fabric Data Engineering workloads including:Data Pipelines Dataflows Gen2 Notebooks Lakehouses Warehouses
• Design and implement robust dimensional models (Star and Snowflake Schemas) to support reporting and analytics.
• Develop complex T-SQL code including stored procedures, views, functions, and performance optimization.
• Build and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, and DAX measures.
• Develop data engineering solutions using Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement data governance best practices.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
• Support operational activities including deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, and production support.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Business Intelligence.
• Extensive experience with:SQL Server T-SQL Development SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Enterprise Data Warehousing Dimensional Modeling Strong experience designing:Star Schemas Snowflake Schemas Fact and Dimension Tables Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric:Data Factory Data Pipelines Dataflows Gen2 Notebooks Lakehouses Data Warehouses OneLake Strong experience using:Python PySpark Spark-based Data Processing Advanced Power BI skills:Semantic Models Dataset Design DAX Development Dashboard Development Performance Optimization Experience working with:Data Integration ETL/ELT Frameworks Data Quality Processes Data Governance Practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Fabric Certifications.
• Azure Data Engineering experience.
• Experience implementing metadata-driven ingestion frameworks.
• Experience building audit, logging, and monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise analytics platforms.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
