Job summary

Celestica, Inc. in Monterrey, Mexico, seeks a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer focused on automation to drive development, procurement, implementation, and optimization of automation equipment for turnkey and in-house projects.

You will lead URS/SOW/LOR creation, supplier evaluations, 3D CAD reviews, and shop-floor commissioning, collaborating with operations and global peers to maximize OEE and asset reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with strong automation exposure.
• Experience in mechanical design of automated equipment and tooling.
• Knowledge of URS/SOW/LOR documentation and vendor evaluation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimization of automation equipment for turnkey and in-house projects.
• Manage procurement tracking, BOMs and supplier evaluations.
• Perform 3D CAD design reviews and GD&T planning.
• Oversee shop-floor commissioning and installation activities.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and global engineering teams to ensure Celestica standards.
