Job summary

Celestica's Global Automation (CGA) team in Monterrey, Mexico seeks an entry-level Developing Controls Engineer. You will work across a balanced model with 60% Turn-Key projects and 40% in-house control development, reporting to the Senior Manager of Automation Engineering.

You will gather requirements, assist with RFQ evaluations, support procurement, and help with PLC logic, HMI layouts, and FAT/SAT protocols while developing technical skills and cross-site collaboration in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in industrial automation or related field.
• Strong problem-solving ability and learning agility.

Responsibilities

• Technical Process Gathering & Scoping: baseline cycle times and identify bottlenecks.
• Requirements Documentation & Validation: URS and SOW protocols for validation.
• Supplier Proposal Evaluation & Bidding: evaluate vendor proposals and benchmark Turn-Key solutions.
• In-House Controls Development & Engineering Support: assist with PLC logic, HMI layouts, and protocols.
• Procurement & Import Logistics Tracking: track PO creation and supplier activity.
• Equipment Release & Shop-Floor Commissioning: FAT/SAT and validation activities.
