Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Trainee Java Engineer to join hybrid teams in CDMX. You will work on client projects where AI agents are part of the SDLC, building software with AI-assisted development, and contributing to backend or full-stack solutions with REST APIs and integrations.

Ideal candidates have Java core skills, exposure to AI tools like GitHub Copilot, and a basic understanding of LLMs. English at B2+ is required; we value curiosity and initiative in solving real business

Formación

• Curiosity, initiative and willingness to solve real business problems with support from the team.
• Core programming skills in Java, with REST APIs and OOP concepts.
• Experience in AI-assisted development, including tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI agents.
• Basic understanding of how LLMs work, where they may fail, and ability to validate AI-generated output.
• Knowledge of Unit testing.
• Knowledge of microservices.
• Knowledge of any cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• English at B2+ level, spoken and written.

Responsabilidades

• Work in client project teams where AI agents are part of the everyday SDLC.
• Build software using AI ‑ assisted development.
• Contribute to the development of solutions addressing real business problems, supported by your team, including backend Java or full ‑ stack development, REST APIs, and integrations, with mentoring from experienced software engineers.
• Use and coordinate AI agents to complete well ‑ scoped tasks.
• Ensure quality by validating and improving AI generated output by using evals to verify correctness, be able to refine, reject or improve the agents’ output.
