Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to two years of relevant experience.
• Internships, university projects, or placements considered.
• Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

The Opportunity

International Paper is seeking a highly motivated engineering graduate who is eager to launch and develop a career in Information Technology.

As an IT Business Specialist , you will serve as a key liaison between business users and IT teams. You will help identify operational needs, provide application support, troubleshoot technology-related issues, and contribute to system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to understand operational needs and technology-related challenges.
• Provide second-level support for business applications and IT solutions.
• Troubleshoot incidents using a structured, evidence-based approach
• Break down problems into clear, sequential, and verifiable steps.
• Document incidents, findings, actions, decisions, and solutions with appropriate traceability.
• Coordinate issue resolution with internal IT teams, subject-matter experts, and external vendors.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with users throughout the resolution process.
• Participate in system testing, deployments, enhancements, and stabilization activities.
• Develop and maintain procedures, user guides, checklists, and knowledge resources.
• Contribute to projects focused on process improvement, automation, operational efficiency, and user experience.
• Monitor commitments, priorities, risks, dependencies, and agreed deadlines.
• Confirm that implemented solutions effectively address the original business need.

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or another related engineering discipline.
• Recent graduate or professional with up to two years of relevant experience.
• Internships, university projects, professional placements, and community service experience will be considered.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Customer-focused mindset and genuine interest in supporting users.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies, processes, and business concepts quickly.
• Willingness to work on-site in Querétaro.
