Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Application Engineer/sales for electrical products to provide technical application support to customers, sales and Bussmann division teams. The role requires acting as the technical expert and supporting field engineering as needed.

You will travel to the field, assist with SCCR calculations per UL508A and OSCAR3.0, and guide customers on NEC, UL, CSA and IEC requirements for overcurrent and overvoltage protection.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Three years experience in a technical sales, application engineering role.

• Provide in-depth technical application support to customers via phone, chat and email.
• Act as the technical expert from the factory and travel into the field as necessary.
• Provide inside support for Field Application Engineers on calculating SCCR using UL508A and OSCAR3.0.

• Participate on NEMA/UL and other industry standards panels and committees.
• Develop and author technical materials and white papers.

Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Application Engineer/sales - electrical products.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of the Application Engineer is to provide technical application support to customers, sales and other Bussmann division departments. The Application Engineer will work to drive demand for Bussmann products through technical application support and technical marketing. In addition, they will support more technical and in-depth email inquiries and phone calls. The Application Engineer will be viewed as the technical expert on Bussmann series products and their application.
