Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development professional in Mexico to design and optimize functional tests validating electrical and optical product requirements. You will support test software, hardware, and tooling, and define test needs to enable robust manufacturability.

Lead discussions with suppliers on test equipment, develop SOWs, track equipment and materials, and coordinate installation, debugging, validation, and release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing test development and functional testing.
• Experience developing test solutions for electrical/electromechanical products.
• Experience with NI technologies, LabVIEW and/or TestStand preferred.
• Experience with test equipment integration and process validation.
• Knowledge of PFMEA and DfM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing functional tests to validate electrical and optical product requirements.
• Support the development of test software, hardware, equipment, and application-specific tooling.
• Define manufacturing test requirements and support Design for Manufacturability (DfM) activities.
• Support product traceability requirements, PFMEA, Error Proofing, Reverse PFMEA, and Line Side Reviews prior to series production.
• Lead technical equipment design discussions with suppliers and support purchase of manufacturing test equipment and tooling.
• Develop Statements of Work (SOW) and ensure Aptiv standards are incorporated into equipment solutions.
• Track test equipment, tooling, and required materials to support industrialization timing and allocated budgets.
• Coordinate equipment installation, debugging, validation, and release, including process capability studies and EHS requirements.
• Develop initial Work Instructions and Standard Work documentation for test processes.
