Job summary

Molex in Mexico is seeking a Test Engineer II to lead electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing of connectors and modules. You will manage testing schedules, analyze results, and mentor lab staff while collaborating with design and project teams to drive reliable product performance.

You will set up and maintain test equipment, prepare technical reports, support root-cause investigations, and contribute to new testing systems and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in laboratory, testing, reliability or engineering environment.
• Experience independently conducting product testing and operating lab equipment.
• Ability to analyze technical data and evaluate product performance.
• Experience preparing technical reports and documenting test results.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage product testing schedules and priorities to support customer commitments and project milestones.
• Execute electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing on production, prototype, and validation samples.
• Collaborate with product design and project engineering teams to evaluate product performance.
• Provide technical feedback regarding failure modes and potential design improvements.
• Mentor and support test engineers and laboratory technicians during test execution and troubleshooting.
• Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory test equipment and environmental chambers.
• Participate in design and development of new testing systems and lab capabilities.
• Analyze test results and develop conclusions regarding product reliability and performance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports documenting objectives, procedures, equipment, results, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action processes.
• Follow Quality Management System requirements and laboratory best practices.
