Job summary

Flex Ltd is seeking an Industrial Engineer based in Juarez Sur to support teams building great products. You will provide process time estimations, simulate workflows, and collaborate with NPIs and sales to optimize manufacturing efficiency.

The role requires intermediate English, knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma, and experience with production planning, workflow optimization, and cost analysis. Flex offers a comprehensive benefits package and an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience coordinating with management and engineering teams to implement plans.
• Experience developing management control systems for cost analysis and production planning.
• LEAN, Automation and/or Six Sigma project involvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulate processes and workflows and advise process engineers.
• Review results from prototyping and trial runs and feed NPIs and sales.
• Develop work measurement programs and standards for labor utilization.
• Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and production data for efficiency.
• Recommend methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste, including workflow changes.
• Support design of production planning and control systems.

Report to the Business Excellence Manager the Industrial Engineer’s role involves:

Provides process time estimation to the quote team. Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineers by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and adequate tools. Reviews result during prototyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team. Work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization. Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment. Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment. Knowledge of personnel administration. Knowledge of warehouse and materials processes. Knowledge of square footage management and billing. Technical skills: knowledge of DL calculations, machine capacities, and OEE. Experience in Electronic Industry (desirable)

The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Intermediate English Typically requires a bachelor’s degree Conference with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations. May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation. Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality. Design or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as determining the most efficient plant locations. Desired management skills for engineers and technicians. Leads and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs and improve performance in constrained areas like LEAN, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects.
