Job summary

Flex is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team in Juarez Sur. You will support product teams by modeling processes, estimating times, and guiding improvements to efficiency and quality.

You will work with NPI, sales, and management to implement cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, intermediate English, and experience in process optimization, LEAN, and Six Sigma projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• Intermediate English is required.
• Collaborate with management and engineering staff to implement plans.
• Develop management control systems for cost analysis and production planning.
• Involve LEAN, Automation and/or Six Sigma initiatives to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide process time estimates to the quote team.
• Simulate processes and workflows using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and other tools.
• Review results during prototyping and trials and feed back to NPI and sales.
• Conduct work measurement programs and develop labor utilization standards.
• Analyze workforce utilization, layouts, costs, and schedules for efficiency.
• Recommend methods to reduce waste and improve productivity and equipment use.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Industrial Engineer located in Juarez Sur.

Report to the Business Excellence Manager the Industrial Engineer’s role involves:

What a typical day looks like:

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineers by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and adequate tools.
• Reviews result during prototyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
• Work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
• Knowledge of personnel administration.
• Knowledge of warehouse and materials processes.
• Knowledge of square footage management and billing.
• Technical skills: knowledge of DL calculations, machine capacities, and OEE.
• Experience in Electronic Industry (desirable)

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Intermediate English
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree
• Conference with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
• May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
• Design or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as determining the most efficient plant locations.
• Desired management skills for engineers and technicians.
• Leads and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs and improve performance in constrained areas like LEAN, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects.
