The role involves estimating processing times for the quotes team, simulating workflow with REFA, MOST and WITNESS, and driving improvements to reduce waste and raise throughput. Intermediate English and a bachelor’s degree are required.

• Provide process time estimations for the quote team.
• Simulate processes and workflows using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and other tools; advise process engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop labor utilization standards from work measurement data.
• Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and production data to improve efficiency.

• Coordinate with management and engineering to implement plans and recommendations.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Industrial Engineer located in Juarez Sur. Report to the Business Excellence Manager the Industrial Engineer’s role involves:

What a typical day looks like:

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineers by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and adequate tools.
• Reviews result during prototyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
• Work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
• Knowledge of personnel administration.
• Knowledge of warehouse and materials processes.
• Knowledge of square footage management and billing.
• Technical skills: knowledge of DL calculations, machine capacities, and OEE.
• Experience in Electronic Industry (desirable)

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Intermediate English
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree
• Conference with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
• May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
• Design or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as determining the most efficient plant locations.
• Desired management skills for engineers and technicians.
• Leads and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs and improve performance in constrained areas like LEAN, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects.
