General Motors de México is seeking a Design Engineer to develop and integrate thermal coolant management components for automotive propulsion systems. You will apply advanced engineering methods, virtual validation tools, and design best practices to deliver high-quality releases on time.

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/related field and at least 1 year of automotive/mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in English; capable of technical communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and development of components within the Thermal Coolant Management subsystem.
• Execute and improve design standards, engineering best practices, and global design processes.
• Design automotive components using DFMEA methodologies.
• Develop solutions following Design to Cost while maintaining performance and quality.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability criteria to ensure efficient production processes.
• Perform NX design analysis and implement findings with support from senior designers or DLTs.
• Create, update, and maintain mathematical data (3D models), including material specs, mass properties, and component attributes.
• Develop mathematical models and virtual designs for complex components and subsystems.
• Integrate component designs into complete thermal management systems.
• Collaborate with Design Release Engineers, manufacturing, integration, and performance engineers.
• Ensure timely and high-quality mathematical releases for components and subsystems.
• Communicate project status, timing concerns, risks, and challenges to leadership.
• Stay current with industry trends and product developments in thermal management.
• Share lessons learned and update engineering standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
